Contemporary Gospel Singer Theresa Pinkney Celebrates Award Season With Two Performances And An Award Win

Christian Vocalist Theresa Pinkney has been enjoying the success of her first CD, Me Against The World.  The project, which netted online radio hits like the CD's title tune and the bouncy, joyous cut "Count It All Joy", has exposed the new artist to fans of her contemporary, R&B-styled music.  The success of the Lusby, Maryland resident's CD has opened performance opportunities for her far and wide.  She recently appeared at the Rhythm of Gospel Awards in Jacksonville, Florida.  Theresa performed at the Prayzefest Early Morning Prayze Showcase sponsored by the Prayzefest Gospel Hour Show.  Also, she ministered at a concert for The Reach Project, a CD compilation in support of global disaster relief.

Just after the Rhythm of Gospel Awards, Theresa attended the 2012 En Sound Music Awards in Atlanta where she was a multiple nominee.  Earlier in the month, she ministered at the Independent Gospel Artists Alliance Conference which took place last month in Chesapeake, VA.  At the conference, Theresa was given the 2012 Gospel Blue M.I.C. Christian Jukebox Achievement Award presented to her by CJBRadio.com's founder, Simone Henry.  Program Director Kevin James (pictured with Pinkney) and Henry were thrilled to honor Pinkney with the award.  Henry says, "Congratulations to Theresa Pinkney for winning the CJB Radio Achievement Award at the Gospel Blue M.I.C. Awards!  Because of her growth as an artist, the award was well-deserved.  With the top song at CJBRadio.com in 2011, we were proud to present her with this special honor."
