As a young man on the family farm in Smithville, Miss, Stephen B. Steward recalls having intimate conversations with the Lord which he attributes to his desire to minister in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. As the gift of writing and singing new songs of worship became evident during his college years, Stephen B. Steward realized the Psalmist anointing was on his life.
