Save Saeed: ACLJ Partners With Christian Musicians to Free Imprisoned Pastor [Video]

In September 2012, American pastor Saeed Abedini was arrested while building orphanages in Iran. The country is primarily Islamic, and Abedini was convicted and imprisoned for sharing his Chrisitian faith. He has since been sentenced to spend eight years in one of Iran's toughest prisons. Meanwhile, his wife and two young children anxiously await his return.

In defense of Abedini, the American Center for Law and Justice has launched the Save Saeed campaign, urging U.S. citizens to sign an online petition and spread the word via social media and word of mouth, ultimately bringing heightened awareness to the injustice against Abedini. The organization is hoping to gather at least 300,000 signatures - one for each day of Abadini's sentence - before taking the petition to the UN and the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights. There are currently 144,876.
The Save Saeed project has partnered with some of the entertainment industry's biggest names, including Christian musicians Steven Curtis Chapman, Kevin Max, and John Cooper of the band Skillet. They recorded videos detailing the horror of the situation and urging people to take action. You can see a few below.
