Remedy Drive 'Resuscitate' Album Review

Christian rock band, Remedy Drive, release their first full length album since 2008, Resuscitate. With a few EP's in between, fans will be ecstatic that another full length album is coming their way. Filled with lots of passionate and soul searching tracks, this album shows a lot of promise. The album's main focus is to bring life back into a lost or darkened soul. They lyrically paint a picture of love and worship even when they feel defeated.

Kicking off the album with their first single, "Better Than Life," this track brings in an alternative rock style and very catchy lyrics. With the message "Your love is better than life," you cannot help but relate to the song. Everything about this track from the vocals, to the instruments, and to the setting of the song, provides a fresh renewed feeling. This track is already getting amazing feedback from fans and from first time listeners, which already shows how successful this album will turn out.
"Lost Cause" and "Resuscitate Me" go hand and hand musically linked to one another. "Lost Cause" has a fresh contemporary rock feel while "Resuscitate Me" has an upbeat, Indie rock edge. Both however have the same great message, just told in a different way. "I'm not a lost cause" is a verse shared by both songs relaying the message that even though the heart and soul may not be in the state it should be, there is still hope to be renewed in God. These are the perfect tracks for a weary heart.
