Matthew West to Release 'Into the Light' September 25, Album Cover Revealed

After a successful release of the project Story of Your Life, which was inspired by the stories of West's fans, Matthew West is readying to release a new project titled Into the Light.

"Forgiveness" is just one of many songs on the new album that are based on the real life stories. Into the Light will release September 25.

West revealed the new album cover just yesterday. Teasing his fans, West first uploaded an album cover featuring a teddy bear. West commented, "Here it is! I wanted a cover that would make u say, "I don't want to just listen to it, I want to cuddle with this CD." Some fans responded saying that the album cover was cute, others had mixed feelings. Later on, West revealed that he was just joking, "Ok, ok! It was a joke. Teddy Bear is not my real album cover," West tweeted.

Later on, Matthew West posted the real album cover (see the photo). West commented, "Sorry to those who were excited about teddy bear cover :)."

Matthew West was nominated for Primetime Emmy Award for Original Music and Lyrics for his song "The Heart of Christmas" from the film The Heart of Christmas. West, "I am honored to have had the chance to be a part of the movie The Heart of Christmas," says West."When I wrote the song, I never even imagined being recognized in this way, but I am thankful and hope this Emmy® nomination will shine a greater light on this little movie with a big heart."
