'Mad Men' Season 6 Premiers April 7th on AMC

Mad Men Season 6 will premiere on Sunday, April 7 with a special two-hour episode on AMC. Written and created by Matthew Weiner, AMC announced the new season in January.
In true Weiner fashion (notorious for mandatory silence from the cast regarding storylines) no additional details were provided. One thing is for sure, Jon Hamm will be back as our favorite ad exec to hate Don Draper. No other major cast adjustments have been indicated.

Elisabeth Moss, who plays "women in the work place" representative Peggy Olson did say that roughly half the episodes have been filmed.
Not breaking Weiner's code of Mad Men silence for all involved said, "It's pretty amazing."
If Season 5 is any indication where Season 6 is going, Peggy will continue to flourish at her new ad agency. The future for the rest of the cast including Hamm's Draper remains uncertain.
Mad Men won the Emmy for "Best Drama" in its first four seasons. Post-911 CIA drama, Homeland snapped the streak after Season 5.
Weiner and AMC have agreed to a Season 7 option but no official announcements have been disclosed.
With "an endpoint" in mind for the award-winning Mad Men, Weiner has refused to say what it could be.
Mad Men started Season 1 in 1963 and has progressed through the 1960s over 5 seasons. Season 6 should be somewhere later in the decade. 1967 would be a great launching point for Season 7 of Mad Men. I would kill for a Sgt. Pepper episode!
