Le'Andria Johnson Receives Early Birthday Gift: Two Stellar Gospel Music Awards

GRAMMY^® Award-winner and Music World Gospel recording artist Le'Andria Johnson can now add Stellar Award winner to her list of accomplishments.  Le'Andria, who will celebrate her 30^th birthday on Wednesday, January 23, received an early gift when she won two Stellar Gospel Music Awards for New Artist of the Year and Contemporary Female Artist of the Year at the 28^th Annual Stellar Awards held Saturday, January 19, at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN.  "I was overjoyed to receive two Stellar Awards," said Le'Andria.  "To God be the glory.  That night was very special-my family came from Florida to be with me.  Little did I know that they were also there to attend my surprise birthday party."  Robert Hatcher and Urban Soul Café hosted the post award show birthday celebration at B.B. Kings Restaurant and Blues Club in Nashville.

Le'Andria also performed "I'm Livin'" from her current CD, Le'Andria Johnson The Experience at the 28^th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards, which aired live on GMC, with subsequence airings to follow.  The award show will also air in syndication on 150 stations in over 125 markets across the country, January 24, 2013 through March 3, 2013 (check local TV listings for dates and times in your area).

Le'Andria also received her first NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Gospel Album (Traditional or Contemporary) for her current CD project, Le'Andria Johnson The Experience. The 44^th Annual NAACP Image Award will be televised live on NBC, Friday, February 1, at 8:00 p.m. EST/7:00 p.m. CT.

Last month, Le'Andria was named the #3 Gospel Albums Artist in Billboard magazine's year-end issue (following Lecrae and Marvin Sapp), which makes her Billboard's #1 Female Gospel Albums Artist of 2012.

Looking forward, Le'Andria is preparing for her upcoming concert dates and various national television appearances, including a performance on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) on Tuesday, January 29, at 10:00 p.m. EST (airdate subject to change).
