Celebrate Juneteenth with Amber Bullock

African Heritage, Inc and City of Appleton & Dream Team Promotion will present the Annual Juneteenth Festival this coming Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Houdini Plaza, College Ave in Appleton, W, with the start at 10am.

Juneteenth Festival, designed for the whole family to spend together, will offer delicious soul food, music, prizes, games, and a Children's Village that features storytelling and fun!

Gospel Morning will bring free live performances from 10am till noon featuring special guest Amber Bullock, a winner of BET's 'Sunday Best', Queens of Harmony of Milwaukee, And Unity, Unified Soul, Teju, Masonic Wonders, DJ Leem and master storyteller.

Juneteenth is celebrated to commemorate the ending of slavery in the United States. The observance of the African American Emancipation Day originated from Galveston, TX in June 19th of 1865, and has spread around the world.
