Rachel Bilson Showing More of the "Mother" in "How I Met Your Mother"

Fans of "How I Met Your Mother" should be excited to see Rachel Bilson reprising her role in the CBS sitcom's newest episode. It's been a six season wait but it seems show creator Carter Bays is finally vamping up for the much anticipated reveal of the show's mysterious mother. With the season finale scheduled for Monday, May 16th (8 PM Eastern Time) Bays tells Entertainment Weekly:
"This finale sets the ducks in a row for everything we're going to see after it, leading up to Ted meeting the mother."

Bilson's character Cindy is the titular mom's ex-roomate. Former "OC" star, Bilson first appeared on the show in 2010. At the school where Ted (Josh Radnor) teaches, the two were introduced and eventually began dating. As with most of the women Ted dates in the show, viewers are led to believe this could be the one, but instead disappointed with yet another break-up, and more importantly no mother.
On the newest episode Cindy drops clues as to who that lucky lady is. With the announcement of Barney's engagement Ted is forced to realize he'll never be with Robin again. He decides to take over as wedding planner and books a live band that cancels at the last minute.
Cindy's former roommate just so happens to be the bass player for the "best wedding band in the tristate area."
As viewers move closer and closer with each and every clue, keep in mind the show just signed a two-year extension, which means this season's finale will most likely be no more than a bittersweet taste of what's to come in 2013.
