EMI CMG/Sparrow Records announced signing of Colton Dixon who gained popularity through the show American Idol. During the show Dixon gained hearts of many through speaking out about his Christian beliefs. VIEW HERE Colton Dixon (PHOTOS)

Sparrow Records' announcement on Facebook says, "Super excited to welcome Colton Dixon to the Sparrow Records & EMI CMG family! Check out Colton's video below to find out about upcoming singles and his new album!"

Dixon announced the news via his Twitter with excitement, "So yes, it's official. I signed a record deal with @sparrowrecords can't wait to see what my future holds!!!"

Colton Dixon will soon release his first project on Sparrow Records. The release date is yet to be announced. The song "Never Gone" will be on iTunes on Sept 25, 2012.

Dixon joined Sparrow Records family which includes artists like Amy Grant, Matt Redman, Matthew West, Mandisa, Kari Jobe, just to name a few.

Colton's first single, a worship song titled "You Are" coming to radio very soon!
