Second Edition Of Dr. Michael Milton's SILENT NO MORE Releases Amid High-Profile Accolades
The second edition of Silent No More, the latest book by author, theologian, and singer/songwriter Dr. Michael Milton, has been released amid a flurry of endorsements by cultural heavyweights, including Michael Reagan, David Limbaugh and Dr. Paul Kengor.
"While Silent No More was initially published in the fall, a funny thing happened on the way to the market. People got excited. Word spread. And pretty soon I was on the telephone with Michael Reagan talking about the need for this book in a way that I never imagined," Milton says. "David Limbaugh, the famous constitutional attorney and brother of Rush Limbaugh, also joined in supporting this book, along with Dr. Paul Kengor, one of the most celebrated presidential scholars in our time. Pretty soon we were getting interest from quarters that we had not previously considered. The book began to take on a life of its own."

Silent No More is a beckoning to Christians, especially pastors, to be "silent no more" and speak out on contemporary issues, such as same sex marriage, sanctity of life, pacifism, defense of free speech, Islamic threats, and the stealing of childhood as those issues relate to the Church and to the world as a whole. The book, which was initially released in September 2012, is being distributed through Tanglewood Publishing in the U.S. and Evangelical Press in the U.K.
As the book enters its second printing, Silent No More has garnered numerous accolades:
"My father once said 'If we ever forget that we are "One Nation Under God," then we will be a nation gone under,'" says Michael Reagan, national radio talk show host, author, syndicated columnist and son of U.S. President Ronald Reagan. "As I think about those words with tears in my eyes, I ask where is the Church? They are silent! Michael A. Milton has written a book that might deal with the most important question of our time. Silent No More is a 'must read' if we are to save our nation. The Church must take the lead in this effort, and if they do not then there is another quote from my father and it talks about Communism ending up on the ash heap of history. This time, however, it might well be us. Please pray for our nation."
"God bless Dr. Mike Milton for challenging the conventional wisdom that Christians need to mind their own business and stay out of the public square. He correctly diagnoses the root of our society's problems as spiritual and calls on the Church to step up to the plate in an effort to save our culture," says David Limbaugh, New York Times best-selling author, syndicated columnist and contributor to Fox News. "There is no inconsistency between spreading the Gospel and being engaged in the culture and in politics in a Christ-like way. One need only look at a satellite view of North Korea and South Korea at nighttime to understand the dramatic impact political systems have on liberty, especially religious liberty. Silent No More addresses these issues thoughtfully and comprehensively and will cause a gnawing sense of discomfort in those sitting on the sidelines as our culture declines, using various excuses to justify their unwillingness to engage in matters that will affect not just their pocketbooks, but eventually, their very ability to share the Good News without fear of consequences. I am enthused about this long-overdue book."
"Dr. Michael Milton's book is, among other things, a tribute to the martyrs of atheistic communism, of which there were countless millions. Christians in America today face their own unique challenges. The threats to religious freedom are not as deadly as what Christians endured under communism, but they are serious, and they seem to get worse year by year-and they often stem from the same statist impulse," says Dr. Paul Kengor, New York Times best-selling author, professor of Political Science at Grove City College and executive director, The Center for Vision & Values. "We must, above all, not remain silent. It is indeed true that all it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing."
In the book, Milton is concerned about anything-any earthly or diabolical power masquerading beneath other more familiar powers, political, cultural, or otherwise-that could hurt the souls of human beings, or threaten the Church. This is not a call for the Church to become a political action committee, but a call to pastors and people to return to the Biblical model of a shepherd guarding the sheep against any and all attacks which would hurt the flock. To speak, to write, to preach or to witness against the powers that oppose Christ and His Kingdom is a pastoral act of compassion that follows in the footsteps of the prophets, the apostles, the martyrs of the Church, the Reformers, and, as is shown so often in the Bible, Christ Himself.
"Pastors cannot remain silent," Milton says. "Their solemn duty is to be that Watchman, whatever the cost."
