Candace Glover & Kree Harrison Steal the Spotlight on American Idol

This has been a home run week for the ladies on American Idol as they roll out their top 10. On Tuesday night, Angela Miller had the judges gushing over her stripped down, piano version of AI alum Colton Dixon's song "Never Gone". But last night Miller's spot as a top contestant was tested as Kree Harrison and Candice Glover both stole the stage with their powerful performances.
Kree Harrison took the stage and quickly shot herself right back into the top female discussion doing a rendition of Faith Hill's song, "Stronger". Kree has one of the most, if not the most, effortless voice of the top ten ladies left in the competition. AI judge, Keith Urbran, glowing about Harrison's performance said, "I just love to hear you sing", while Nicki Minaj adoringly adds, "I'm obsessed".

The judges seem to be drawn to her natural talent as a vocalist over focusing too much over her wardrobe or her performance. She just opens her mouth and everyone is captivated by her sound. Mariah Carey simple states, "You could walk right into a record label, simply sing for them and they would give you a record deal on the spot."
Candice Glover was not to be outdone as she took John Legend's hit song "Ordinary People" and gave it even more soul and gospel flare then perhaps the original version. Cameras caught American Idol judge, Keith Urban, clapping and grinning before Glover's performance had even concluded. Candice Glover seemed to have the vocal highlight of the night for the ladies on Wednesday.
Moving forward there is plenty of talent to go around in the ladies top 10 for American Idol and it's anyone's guess as to who will be standing in the end. Colton Dixon, of season 11, was a good example of a favorite who can go home when no one expects it, so there is sure to be many more surprises ahead the rest of this season on American Idol.
