Which ‘American Idol’ 2013 Contestant is Jessica Sanchez Hoping Wins?

Though Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez has graduated from American Idol and is moving on to a promising singing and acting career, Jessica Sanchez still hasn't forgotten her Idol roots.

The soon to be Glee star has been working on her upcoming album with popular singer and producer Ne-Yo. Somewhere in between writing and recording new music and filming the music video for her first single, "Tonight" Jessica Sanchez tries to fit the show into her busy schedule.

I've been watching 'Idol' as much as I can cause I've been busy trying to focus on the album," Jessica told MTV. "I've been really, really busy and I've been trying to keep up with the shows and the contestants and I'm very, very excited for them ... [I'm] so, very, very excited for the new season. The judges are amazing, love Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey and all them."

While some American Idol alums tend to stay quiet about their favorites, Sanchez is outspoken about her lover for vocal powerhouse, Candice Glover.

"That's my girl from last year," Jessica revealed. "But I hope a girl wins. I'm very excited for them. Yes, girl power!"

Guys have won American Idol six years in a row. Jessica said she was upset she couldn't break the streak and bring home a win for the ladies last year. Now she's just trying to send good vibes to girls of Season 12.

"I hope a girl wins this year, just to give the girls some pride."
