Swiss-Serbian singer/songwriter Vlada is set to bring his unique brand of soul and funk to the US with the January 26 release of All About You. A Glad Vlad Records release, the album will be distributed stateside by Bema Direct, a Division of Bema Media. In addition, All About You releases January 22 in Switzerland via Nation Music and will bow in March in Germany via Gerth Medien.

Produced by Vlada and co-produced by Take 6’s Mark Kibble along with Matthias Heimlicher, All About You includes 14 selections written or co-penned by Vlada. Ranging from funky jams to gospel anthems and mellow pop ballads, the album features contributions from such award-winning musicians as drummer Vinnie Colaiuta (Sting, Herbie Hancock), bassist Abraham Laboriel (Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson), and guitarist Paul Jackson Jr. (Whitney Houston, Destiny’s Child), as well as GRAMMY Award winners Take 6 and renowned saxophonist Kirk Whalum.

Rarely has this exceptional rhythm section ever sounded so funky and tight. Everybody’s playfulness and joy, the session atmosphere, Vlada’s sophisticated, but catchy songs, as well as the deep and meaningful lyrics, create an unusually honest and personal debut album.”

The album’s debut single, “You Alone,” has been serviced to Inspirational radio formats stateside, while the song is already in rotation on DRS3 Swiss National Radio. The radio edit of “You Alone” was mixed by GRAMMY and Dove Award-winning producer Bryan Lenox (Michael W. Smith, Natalie Grant).

Raised in Switzerland by a Serbian family, Vlada became a Christian at the beginning of his 10-year tenure as the musical director and lead singer of the successful Swiss funk-gospel group awake. He performed on numerous tours and produced three albums for the ensemble, and also served as a promotion manager for renowned Swiss concert promoter AllBlues. As a solo artist, Vlada’s music has received wide acclaim in Switzerland, where he still resides for a portion of the year, as well as living in New York and Nashville.
