Maranatha! Music releases Ashes To Fire: Songs Of Remembrance And Celebration Of The Passion from Consuming Worship, a movement birthed to give expression to the creative form of worship found in the local church. The recording is available in store and online March 8, 2011. The album captures the celebration of the coming of the Holy Spirit for the Lenten, Easter, and Pentecost season.
Ashes To Fire includes a range of songs from ballads to upbeat melodies that feature a passion for the Lord and the importance of remembrance. The modern worship album is produced by Dave Clark and includes many well-known artists and songwriters.
“Consuming Worship has been completely overwhelmed by the response from local church worship leaders to these songs,” said Tim Curtis, managing director of Consuming Worship. “Regardless of their worship style, they are incorporating these songs into their sets. It's been a blessing to be a part of this project.”
Songwriters include: Dave Clark, Nick Robertson, Jayme Thompson, Donna Norton, Mark Harris, Allie Lapointe, Tracey Barker, Kelly Burton, Phil Mehrens, Wendy Wills, Mathew Linton, Larnelle Harris, Tricia Bartig, and Christopher Kai.
The debut single, a powerful ballad titled “Ashes To Fire,” is performed by Mark Harris (4Him) and is impacting Inspirational radio.
