Holyfire Ministries has grown to where music is one of the many avenues we use to spread a message of devotion to Jesus Christ. As this dream grows, we felt it neccessary to put new language around the expanding ministry. The music portion of Holyfire Ministries is called Out of Hiding.
Out of Hiding seeks to create music that draws our listeners to a place of real surrender and trust in God.

gear: i use a Vox AC30 and play Heritage and Taylor guitars.
musical influences: Once I gave my life to Christ Keith Green had a huge impact on me. His heart and his passion inspired me to minister through music. After that, Delirious was a group that for me stretched the boundaries of worship music. The list is really long in terms of musical inspiration starting with my Dad and the Beatles long before I met Jesus and recently I’ve been into groups like the Fray and Switchfoot.

musical influence: the person i credit to influencing my decision to play bass is les claypool. his skill and creativity were and still are inspirational to my bass playing. early influences include most hardcore bands – anything fast and loud really – from 1997-2004, as well as a lot of classic rock, mostly because of my parents, but also because it sounds so good to my ears.
currently listening to: the flavor of the month is always changing, but currently it’s: 30 seconds to mars, dave matthews band, justin mcroberts, minus the bear, afi, and muse. the staple bands are always: primus (les claypool), switchfoot, coheed and cambria and pink floyd…to name a few…

musical influences: i always try to listen to music with intent to learn and grow creatively. HOWEVER, i can’t say that there’s one specific drummer who has directly influenced me…maybe somewhere between Zac Hanson and Travis Barker?…odd, i know. –it’s really just about the overflow of the heart, for me. my desire is to invent a new sound through worship…and have it carried out with a unique and radical devotion to Jesus.
