Veteran singer songwriter Michael W. Smith is now a grandfather to the newborn Issac, son of Tyler Michael (Smith's son) and Sarah. Smith shared his joy of being able to hold Issac on Facebook with a beautiful photo of him holding the child.
Smith wrote, "Simply amazing holding Issac, who arrived early this morning. Congrats to Tyler and Sarah."

Smith is a three-time Grammy Award and 40 Dove Award winner after being in the music industry since 1981 as a songwriter for top singers of that time including Sandi Patty, Amy Grant, Bill Gaither and more. He later toured with Amy Grant as her keyboardist and then rose to fame with his own successful records year after year.
Three decades later, Smith is still passionately working alongside with the newer generation of worship leaders and artists, making music to glorify the Lord. Smith is also blessed with a supportive wife and 5 children and is expecting to give his daughter Anna's hand in marriage this coming June.
