JASON GRAY'S heavily anticipated newest album,
A Way To See In The Dark, is a magnificent blend of a powerful spiritual experience and beautiful sound that will exceed expectations. This is
GRAY'S third studio album with Centricity Music.
A Way To See In The Dark is similar to his past two because it also has the pop-rock feel and powerful lyrics that the numerous
JASON GRAY fans have come to love, and yet each song still manages to have a unique and personal feel.
There are twelve new songs, which in addition to being written or co-written by
GRAY himself, all have powerful and spiritual themes. One of the most endearing and moving aspects of this album is the sincerity of the lyrics. All the songs are easy to identify with, many of which are about fear and doubt, and will inspire listeners. Each track really deals with a different theme that have a large amount of range.
The sound of each song is also extremely unique. The music seems to highlight the lyrics and it ranges drastically from simple acoustic guitar to a full band. On the first listen of the album, its easy to listen only to the lyrics, but if you focus on the instruments you’ll hear a variety of beautiful sounds.
I would also recommend watching the videos of
GRAY introducing some of his new songs at the Community Coffeehouse this past April. His performance is amazing to watch (it is impressive how much sound he is able to make by himself with just a guitar) and also helps enhance the emotional experience of listening to the album when you understand the meaning behind each song.

JASON GRAY'S A Way To See In The Dark truly is really a special album that will make you think, move you spiritually and keep you singing along song after song. The first time you listen to the album, be sure to have extra time because you’ll want to listen to the entire album in a row and then keep it going on repeat.
