Through the obstacles that sometimes overtake our lives, our God is faithful. A call that began in the heart of Dennis Humphries became a reality in 2001 with the start of HisSong Ministries. Through the course of the past ten years, God has proven Himself time and time again and He never allowed us to lose our “song.†Our “song†is His song!
HisSong had the privilege to record 6 nationally released projects over the last ten years, but the groups success came in 2005 when HisSong signed a exclusive recording contract with Producer Wayne Haun & Vine/Crossroads Records. In 2008 HisSong and producer Wayne Haun released their second Vine/Crossroads project “On The Way Up†which became a great success for the group.
The project earned the group’s first Dove Award Nomination in 2009 for “Album Of The Year†and the group released four radio singles nationwide with all four songs earning top 20 honors on the charts. Their first release from the CD “The Grave Can’t Hold Me†soared to the # 13 position. The second release “I Still Have It All†became the groups fastest rising song making it’s way to the top of the charts to # 2 in the Singing News. The 3rd release “That’s When God Steps In†also became a top 10 song resting at # 7. The last single from the same CD “Joy In My Heart†went to #17. 

In September 2009 HisSong’s latest project “Journey Through The Sky†was released all across America. Their first radio release “I Believe In Prayer†is a song that reminds us how important prayer really is. The song became another fast rising song for the group. After 6 months in the Singing News top 20 charts the song went to # 6. Other charting songs have been “What A Difference A Day Makes†and their current single, “When We Talk To The Father†both landed in the top 20 in 2010.
In September 2009, along with the release of their new record, HisSong took their first trip to Norway where they had the honor to sing to several “sold out†crowds including Norways largest Fair. †It was great singing to thousands of people but the GREATEST part about it is, many souls were saved and many lives where changed. The greatest feeling in the world,†states Dennis “is when someone of ANY age gives their heart and life to Christ! That is worth it all!â€â€¨â€¨Touring all across America and the world, HisSong has been priviledged to sing in churches and auditoriums proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the greatest story ever told!
In 2008 HisSong along with Dove Award winning Contemporary Artist “Point Of Grace†took a trip to Lima, Peru with Compassion International to minister to hundreds of children and their families that live in poverty and to see first hand what these children and families go through everyday. “Compassion International has become a vital part of our ministry,†states Dennis. “We are called to be our brother’s keeper and sponsoring children through Compassion is our way to fulfill that calling on our lives to make sure we are clothing and feeding the needy, not only physically, but spiritually as well.â€
Adding to their wonderful 2009, HisSong was asked to perform on the main stage at the National Quartet Convention, gospel music’s largest event! They received the honor again in 2010, gaining new fans from all across the world!
“To whom much is given, much is required,†and that is exactly what HisSong Ministries believes. Personal stories of tragedy and triumph through Christ has allowed each individual member of HisSong to connect night after night with audiences across America. The sheer joy that comes with knowing you are doing exactly what you are called to do shines on the face of HisSong Ministries and that joy is contagious!
