Grits News, Grits to Host Benefit Concert to Provide Christmas for Katrina Victims
Dove Award-winning rap duo Grits will be hosting Above & Beyond: Benefit For Katrina Evacuees next Monday, Dec. 7, at Rocketown in Nashville, Tenn. to help hurricane victims provide Christmas for their families.

All proceeds from the event, which is co-sponsored by the E.R.A.C.E Foundation – a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting unity between races – will be used to purchase toys from local retail outlets such as Walmart; Target; and Bed, Bath, & Beyond to give to children of the Katrina disaster.

Along with Grits, the concert will feature music from DJ Maj, Lisa McClendon, IZ, Pettidee, Jason Eskeridge, and John Gray.

Above & Beyond is scheduled to run from 7 to 10 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m.

A $10 donation will be taken at the door.
