WORD Entertainment and 25 LIVE are re-launching the Girls of Grace Conferences in partnership with OneVerse. Hosted by Word/Warner Bros. Records‘ reigning Inspirational Country Music Awards “Entertainer of the Year” and multi-platinum selling trio Point of Grace (Shelley Breen, Leigh Cappillino, Denise Jones), Girls of Grace is an exciting one-day event for teenage girls (ages 12 – 17) that focuses on common age-related issues with a positive Christian message. This teen conference will be presented nationwide, kicking off February 19 in Nashville, TN.
Founded in 2002 by Point of Grace, the conferences grew out of their desire to bring teenage girls together, talk about issues that effect them, and share that a relationship with Christ is a true source of peace and assurance in their lives.
“At times girls feel like they are the only ones who struggle with certain issues,” says Denise Jones. “With a Girls of Grace Conference it gives them the opportunity to come together in a large group and realize that we all have our own struggles, and yet, we are in this together.”
Being a teen in this day and age isn’t easy. In hopes to give teenage girls a renewed sense of confidence, a refreshed spirit, and open their eyes to who they are by God’s own design, Word Entertainment and 25 Live felt called to re-launch this unique conference.
“We consider it an honor to be working along side the girls in Point of Grace to not only continue the ministry that they started but to ensure that these events happen on a more frequent basis,” says David Breen, 25 Lives’ VP of Touring and Live Events. “Over the years, we have continued to receive phone calls, emails and letters from teen girls, mothers and youth pastors nationwide saying that they need this event for their girls and to please bring it to their communities. Our plan is to have 12-15 state wide events each year in regions that touch each part of the country.”
Thanks to the title sponsor OneVerse and sponsors Soul Surfer, Liberty University, Columbia International University and Hardin Simmons University, the conference will feature guest speakers including Constance Rhodes, Founder of FindingBalance.com; Chris Wheeler, Program Director for Fellowship Student Outreach at Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, TN, and Amber Lehman, a renowned wardrobe stylist as well as the Point of Grace ladies. In addition to the featured topics, the girls will be treated to performances by some of the biggest names in Christian music including Meredith Andrews, Jason Castro, Dara Maclean, Point of Grace and Satellites & Sirens. Tickets are $50 or $80 for a mother/daughter pair and on-sale now. For additional information and to register, please visit http://www.girlsofgrace.com/
