By now you’ve most likely made your New Year’s Resolutions, of which many include weight loss. You’ve probably got your work-out tunes all geared up, which include many of your favorite Christian artists. Tackling the new year, they not only have great music to encourage you but great advice for this new beginning as well.

In preparation for a great year, we’ve collected the heart-felt advice from some of your favorite Christian artists stretching over many genres from Contemporary Christian Music, Gospel, Rock, Hip-Hop and Worship.

Starting things off with empowering words is worship band Planetshakers writing,

“We are now in 2012, live this year giving your everything to the Lord. Don't hold back anything from the Lord, he gave everything to us!!”

Releasing his chart topping number one album, Uncommon Me in 2011, gospel artist Isaac Carree wrote

“If WE allow God to order our steps and stay out of his way, 2012 will be the best year of OUR lives!!! Who agrees???”

Coming off of a busy Christmas season which included releasing an album and a movie entitled Heart of Christmas, Matthew West wrote

“New year's resolutions fail when they start w/ words like "I will..." they succeed when we ask for help. "With God's help, I will...”

Your favorite Christian rapper and mine, Lecrae wrote

“Everyone sees the new year as an opportunity for change. The reality is, every day is an opportunity for change. #nevertoolate”

Award-winning duo Mary Mary offered their advice for the new year very lyrically, writing

“Welcome to the rest of your life. From now on, just try. To live more, want more, work a little harder. Dance more, laugh more, be a little smarter. Hug a little longer, love a little stronger. You've been down but now it's time to...GET UP & walk confidently into your 2012! LOVE YOU ALL! HAPPY NEW YEAR!”

Releasing their debut album in 2011 Scripted, encouraging listeners to “Make A Move,” Icon for Hire wanted to bring their fans into the new year with an encouraging outlook.

“Happy new years everybody! 2012 is gonna be amazing!”

Christian artist Michelle Bonilla, who recently released her new single “Go Hard” (remix) which will be featured on her soon coming remix album also had hopeful and encouraging words to offer.

“Looking forward to what God will be doing this year! Let's all keep positive hearts and minds and watch God ROCK 2012!”

Lastly, but certainly not least, seasoned veteran John Tesh gave reflective words of wisdom for the new year.

“My New Year's Resolution for 2012 which has been my same battle cry for about 25 years. RISK MORE. I wrote about this in my book a few years back under the chapter 'Hard work, Risk and Prayer' and it is a concept that the world's most successful people have learned to embrace on the road to greatness. There have been many polls over the years where senior citizens (people 80-100 years old) were asked what they would have changed about their lives. Nearly every man and woman said they would have RISKED more. Crazy, right? How is it possible that most of us will eventually look back on our lives and wish we had taken more chances?”
