Christian Contemporary recording artist Chris August whose career kicked off thanks to his song Starry Night followed by the success of song 7x70 suffered an injury Tuesday night in a skateboarding accident. August was hospitalized in Nashville due to the injury.

The announcement on his website says that due to this accident, August is unable to participate in this weekend’s concerts. The announcement also asks fans for thoughts and prayers for Chris to recover and for his body to heal.

There are no details regarding the injury, however August is able to tweet to keep his fans updated. Here is Chris August's latest tweet: “Charlie bit me. Or was it a skateboard? At least I didn't lose my sense of humor.” Looks like he’s recovering well keeping up with his unique humor sense.
